A studio for businesses that want to stand out.

Workbench is an independent creative technology studio based in New York City. We design and build modern websites — and the quiet automations behind them — for businesses that want to look sharp online and stop doing the same five things by hand every week.

Mission

Sharper sites. Quieter operations.

Most small-business websites look like every other small-business website — same template, same stock photos, same forgettable hero. The good ones cost twenty grand and take six months. We think there's a better middle.

Workbench exists to give a small business the same caliber of website — and the same back-of-house automation — as a company ten times its size. Clean, fast, distinctive, easy to keep updated, and quietly running the workflows that used to sit on someone's to-do list all week.

We work with a small number of clients at a time so each one gets a site that actually fits — and a system around it that keeps fitting as the business grows.

How we work

Four principles.

01

Built to be noticed, built to do work.

A site shouldn't just look good — it should earn the click, the call, the booking. Every page we ship is judged by whether it actually moves the business forward.

02

Seven days, then live.

We build in a tight, focused window so the project doesn't drag through your busy season. Kickoff Monday, reviewable site by the following week. No three-month redesign committees.

03

Automate the boring parts.

Inquiries that route themselves. Follow-ups that send themselves. Bookings, invoices, and reminders that don't need a human poking at them. The site is the front door; the workflow behind it is the rest of the house.

04

You own everything.

Your domain, your code, your content, your accounts. On Foundation, we hand it off clean. On Care, we keep it running — but it's still yours to leave with whenever you want.

Tell us about the business.

A short conversation, a written quote within a business day, and a site live the following week.
